Whenever we have a time off, we go to Ubatuba because Victor’s parents have a beach house in Maranduba. And as travel bloggers we try to visit someplace new every time we go there. This summer we got to know a trail that leads you to Praia Brava da Almada, a beautiful and almost deserted beach! Check out how to get there! 🙂

Pics of our way…

Praia Brava da Almada trail
The journey started at Praia do Pereque Mirim. It was a 45 minute drive to Praia da Almada. When you reach the parking lot MANY people approach you trying to make you park your car on “their parking lot”. There are many restaurants there with vacancies for cars so if you park in a specific restaurant they expect you to have something to eat in that restaurant. The thing is that the approach is kinda rude. So you just need to ignore them and take the first left where’s the neighborhood parking lot, not owned for any specific restaurant. It’s much more peaceful and everybody treats you very kindly. Also, there’s toilets available. It costs R$ 20,00 for the day.
Close to the toilets you’ll be already reaching the Praia da Almada. Very calm, not to much tourists and there’s a lot of fishing men working. Walk towards a restaurant/kiosk on the very left, walk up the stairs and walk straight down afterward. You’ll be reaching the Praia do Engenho, another quiet beach and full of fishmen working.

In the middle of the beach, you’ll find the sign indicating the beginning of the trail. If you don’t find it, don’t worry. Just ask to someone and they will show you.

We took 17 minutes walking and stopping to get to the Praia Brava da Almada. It wasn’t an easy path but not difficult as well! And it’s worth the effort!

Unfortunately the day was cloudy but still the water was cristaline. There were just a few people at the beach. We enjoyed a lot our time together! The view up the rocks are gorgeous!

There’s no kiosks or anything that you can buy something to eat or drink. So bring your stuff with you 😉

Do you like almost deserted beaches? We do love them! It’s more peaceful! Pls share your fave beaches in Ubatuba. If you have not been to any one yet, tell us which one you’d like to visit 🙂
