Rooftops in Sao Paulo with Rent a Local Friend

These past few weeks had been the craziest ones in our lives… two wedding parties and a honeymoon trip to organize besides our daily job at Trinity Intercâmbio and my bday (Oct 28th)… so decided to take a break in the middle of the week for exploring rooftops in Sao Paulo. You may already know we love rooftops but who doesn’t, right? So in order to visit amazing rooftops in our beloved city, we count on a little help of our friends from Rent a Local Friend.

We were born in SP and live here since then. The exception was our year abroad in 2014 when we were studying in Dublin, Ireland. Sao Paulo is huge though. So no way we could’ve been to a considerable number of rooftops in Sao Paulo. We already visited before:

  • SEEN (inside the Tivoli Hotel)
  • The View (inside the Transamerica Hotel)
  • Skye (inside the Unique Hotel) – one of our favorites
  • PanAm Club (within the Maksoud Plaza Hotel, but no longer exists)

When we mentioned these to Milena and Denis from Rent a Local Friend, they promptly suggested other options relatively close to where we live.

Our first stop was a rooftop that it’s been in my list for a long time ago and I was so happy for being their first recommendation of rooftop in Sao Paulo for starting our evening: Obelisco Bar. Located on the roof of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC USP), with a great view of Ibirapuera Park and the Obelisk, it gives way to the Vista dining complex, with bar, restaurant, café, event space.

I had some moscow mule cocktails because there was a great deal for happy hour offer. I simply know I felt so much in love with this place that we took more time to leave than we should.

Entrance Fees:

– Tuesday & Wednesday – R$ 30.00

– Thursday – R$ 40.00

– Friday – on the VIP list R$ 50.00 | Directly on the bar R$ 60.00

– Saturday – on the VIP list R$ 60.00 | Directly on the bar R$ 70.00

Our next stop was in Pinheiros… we went to Goose Island Brewhouse. It’s not that tall but you get a nice view of Largo da Batata, which is a very vibrant square in this neighborhood. There’s no entrance fee btw.

By that time, we were starving so Victor and I ordered 2 burgers. The beers were much better, to be honest. And we had one more rooftop to go but we ended up staying too much on this one too. hahahah

Do you like rooftops as much as we do? 🙂 We decided this “topic” when we were discussing with Rent a Local Friend team what to show to you guys. The point is: whatever you want to do & whenever you want to go they will assist you. If your thing is history, Arts, Culture, it doesn’t matter because they will create a especial tour for you or your group.

If you already have been to these rooftops, we still have more options to recommend.
