Madrid was the first destination in our 2018 eurotrip where we visited also Malta, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Prague, Krakow, Malmo and Copenhagen. So let’s check now one of the attractions that I like the most while we were in Madrid: Santiago Bernabeu Stadium Tour, the Real Madrid’s Stadium.
The stadium has a capacity of 81,044 spectators. I wish we had the opportunity to watch a big match at this magnificent stadium. It must be a memorable experience for any football fanatic, especially for Madridistas (Real Madrid fans). So the option was taking the stadium tour to visit the grounds.
Victor is not a big fan of football but I definitely am! hahahah I made him go with me to Manchester for visiting the Old Trafford, the stadium of Manchester United which I’m a huge fan btw. Click here to check the full post regarding the Old Trafford Tour).
When we decided to visit Madrid, the first must-do that came into my mind was the Santiago Bernabeu Tour, of course! hahahhah Victor was not willing wanting to do the same but the had no choice again 😛 After all, this attraction os top 5 in Madrid according to TripAdvisor.
Buying your tickets for the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium Tour
First of all you should check on their official website because on match days, the tours may vary. I mean, sometimes they won’t allow visiting dressing room, especially when there’s a match on that day. Unfortunately this was the case but I decided to go anyway because I wouldn’t have any other day available.
As this tour is very popular in Madrid, try to get the first hour visiting. The ticket “guichê” opens at 10 am and we arrived a few minutes before that and there was already a lot of people waiting in the line.
Click here to buy your ticket in advance (for the same price as the ticket office). That way you’ll avoid queues and won’t take the risk of not having tickets available on the day of your visit. In addition you help the blog to continue producing quality content! 🙂
There are a few ticket options: you can buy an audio-guide or a guide itself. We chose not to buy any of those and just got the regular tickets (€ 25.00/person).

How Santiago Bernabéu Stadium Tour works
Once you’re in there are signs indicating where you should head to. So the time of the visiting is really up to you. We did it in 3 hours.
I expected more to be honest. The thing that bothered me is the fact that we’d have a proper tour only if we had bought the audio-guide or the guide itself. There was no information anywhere. We simply visited the rooms available and the stadium. Anyway, it was ok but it could be so much better!
