Visiting Stanley Park by bike with Cycle City Vancouver

Visiting Stanley Park

One of the most famous attractions in Vancouver is Stanley Park, a 400 hectare park with so many attractions within it. The seawall walk is one of the main paths and as it’s about 9 km long, the best way to enjoy it would be biking, in our opinion. We highly recommend it if you’re not a good runner. So let’s introduce you the company we rented our bikes for visiting Stanley Park. Visiting Stanley Park is a perfect deal for a day trip to escape the hustle and bustle of VanCity as it offers hours and hours of entertainment. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to discover the unique culture of Vancouver’s historic and modern art community.

How to rent a bike in Vancouver

We visited Cycle City and we felt very welcome. The staff members are amazing and very helpful. They introduced all the available bikes & types recommended for our purpose: visiting Stanley Park.

There are a lot of different models such as e-bikes, if it suits you.

They provide helmet, lock, basket or handlebar bag.  Insurance is also included and you can even count on a rain cover. 🙂 Bikes are available in range of models & sizes to fit your needs including youth & children’s equipment.

Things to do in Stanley Park

On the way from the store to the park there’s a bike path all the way long and it took us less than 10 minutes to reach the park.

The ride itself is very pleasant and enjoyable but the park offers a lot of attractions and sights. Here we list some of Stanley Park’s attractions:

  • Vancouver Aquarium
  • Rose Garden
  • Totem Poles
  • Nine O’Clock Gun
  • Brockton Point Lighthouse
  • Girl in a Wetsuit statue
  • Express of Japan Figurehead
  • Lions Gate Bridge
  • Third Beach
  • Second Beach
  • Lost Lagoon

A plus… At English Bay, get off the trail and head to Morton Park. There you’ll find the funny statues called A-maze-ing Laughters by the Chinese Yue Minjun. There are 14 huge bronze statues and super Instagrammable. It’s worth the detour. : D

We took about 2 hours to ride through the seawall trail but we stopped many times for enjoying the view, take some rest and photos.

Stanley Park must be in your plans. You’ll enjoy scenic views of water, sky, mountains and majestic trees along your bike riding. Explore beautiful beaches, local wildlife, many landmarks along the way providing unforgettable experiences.
