Where to eat in Madrid: El Jardín de Orfila

where to eat in madrid

When you think about Madrid, one of the first things that come to mind is the endless gorgeous restaurants this city offers. We always try to search in advance a great restaurant in order to try local food. So if you’re wondering where to eat in Madrid you should definitely try the fabulous El Jardín de Orfila.

The Chef Mario Sandoval has 2 Michelin stars! That been said, it’s quite a reasonable reason for you to try, isn’t it? 😛 The Chef and the restaurant unite talent and effort with a gastronomic proposal that follows Coque restaurant philosophy and actualizes Orfila´s menu with the Sandoval seal. A binomial luxury that revaluates the offer approaching haute cuisine to locals and tourists.

So let’s see what we ordered? 🙂

Starters – El Jardín de Orfila

For a start, I went for a Dublin bay lobster, seasoned pink raff tomato sherry gelée and bean shoots. Victor opted for acord feed Iberian ham with tomato bread. Before our starters arrive they brought us this delicious treatment.

Main course – El Jardín de Orfila

As you may already know by now, Victor doesn’t eat seafood. So he went for a low temperature glazed wagyu rib with saffron potato gelée and I chose a wild salmon in toasted onion sauce, red curried vegetables and pumpkin purée.
