Whistler became the Canada’s capital of extreme sports, especially after being home to 2010 Winter Olympics. Besides skiing, there’s so much to do in the city, such as snowboarding, tubing, without mentioning lots of interesting shops, restaurants and bars. I’d say it’s important to stay in a hotel well located because it will make easier for your to make the most of your trip to Whistler. So here we bring you a suggestion of where to stay in Whistler: Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa.

Located in British Columbia, only 125 km from Vancouver, Whistler is a great destination to be visited not only during the winter. The Canadians also consider this city for a trip any time of the year. if you’re visiting Vancouver, Whistler would be great for a day trip. The company which took us from Vancouver to Whistler was Discover Canada. They offer a lot of different tour options.

Location: excellent! It’s just a 6-minute walk from the Blackcomb Excalibur cable car. Every place we visited was located in a walking distance. Also, it’s Ski-in/Ski-out.

Sleep quality: we stayed on the ground floor where, usually, the noise is higher. Not on Hilton though. When I closed the door of our room, I couldn’t hear a thing. By the way, our room was kinda close to the pool and the bar but even though I could have a great night of sleep without any issues.

The room: we stayed in a studio. Great option for who wants to prepare their own meals in order to save some money. We are huge fans of rooms with a mini-kitchen! 🙂 All rooms include a 55″ flat-screen TV, work desk and tea and coffee making facilities. The private bathroom includes bathrobes and slippers. We loved our spacious room. It was very comfy.

Service: you can count on 24-hour front desk, adjoining rooms, air conditioning, coin operated laundry, concierge desk, conference facilities, express check-out, housekeeping – daily, laundry/valet service, multilingual staff, banquet facilities, bell staff/porter, front desk, onsite laundry, bike storage and, non smoking rooms. Also, health club, hot tub, fitness room, tennis, massage services, pool, sauna, spa, exercise gym and indoor parking. The wireless internet works pretty well.

Cleanliness: it’s a 4 star hotel, impeccable cleanliness is the minimum expected and that’s exactly what they offer. 🙂 You can count on a daily housekeeping which makes everything much easier.

Differentials: the hotel is pet-friendly and having rooms with a kitchenette is something I consider as a differential once there’s no very cheap restaurant options so you feel free to prepare your own meals when you feel like. The location and excellent hospitality services make difference as well!

Cost-benefit: if luxury is your thing, Hilton has to be your option in Whistler.
